...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Nebraska...
Big Blue River Near Crete affecting Saline County.
.This update reflects a slight decrease in the forecasted river crest.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Big Blue River near Crete.
* WHEN...Until late Sunday night.
* IMPACTS...At 27.0 feet, The city park on South Main Street and the River Road (south extension of Main Street) near the sewage plant both flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:45 AM CDT Friday the stage was 26.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 18.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:45 AM CDT Friday was 26.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 26.7 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Sunday morning. - Flood stage is 21.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 27.0 feet on 03/08/1949. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
