* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents and breaking waves due to elevated surf.

* WHERE...Ventura County Beaches.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM PDT this evening.

* IMPACTS... Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Waves can wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats nearshore.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...High tides of 5.5 to near 6.0 feet will occur in the evening hours tonight.
