* WHAT...Water levels 1 to 3 feet above the highest high tide line. The highest water levels will be Monday through Monday night, before returning to more normal levels on Tuesday.
* WHERE...Yukon Delta Coast.
* WHEN...Until 4 AM AKDT Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Localized beach erosion may occur. At Hooper Bay, water will approach the road to the airport but should not inundate the airport or the road.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Prolonged southerly winds of 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph are expected to continue through tonight. The resulting higher seas and surf, coinciding with high tide, will raise potential for rough surf and coastal erosion. Large breaking waves of 3 to 5 feet are likely along the coast with higher waves offshore. Following 1 to 2 inches of rain already observed as of 9 AM Monday, daily rain chances will continue through midweek with lighter amounts expected.
