* WHAT...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, minor to moderate coastal flooding can be expected near times of high tide. For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves of 8 to 12 feet is expected with dangerous rip currents.
* WHERE...San Luis Obispo County Beaches and Santa Barbara County Central Coast Beaches.
* WHEN...Until 10 PM PDT Monday.
* IMPACTS...Minor to moderate flooding of sea water is likely around high tide at beach and harbor areas that is uncommon with normal tidal ranges. Low lying areas will be most susceptible, including Oceano. Enhanced beach erosion is likely. The risk for significant damage is very low. There is an increased risk of ocean drowning. Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Waves can wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats nearshore. Large secondary high tides are also expected each evening.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...High tides are expected to be around 7 feet on Monday morning.
