At 502 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Black Hawk, or 7 miles northwest of Rapid City, moving southeast at 15 MPH.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 MPH and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include... Rapid City, Rapid Valley, southern Ellsworth Air Force Base, Box Elder, Black Hawk, Summerset and Black Gap.
This includes Interstate 90 in South Dakota between Mile Markers 50 and 68.
