At 1259 PM CDT, local law enforcement and emergency management reported life threatening flash flood impacts across the warned area, including multiple ongoing water rescues near Bentley, Caney, and Tushka. Pavement is completely washed away on Forrest Hill and Bethany Church Roads, and Gin Road and Katy Roads are impassable.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has closed portions of U.S. Highway 69/75 due to flood waters between Tushka and Caney.
Between 4 and 8 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.
