The National Weather Service in Jackson has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for... West Central Floyd County in southeastern Kentucky... Northern Knott County in southeastern Kentucky...

* Until 100 AM EDT.

* At 1111 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding in Mousie, Soft Shell, Wayland, and Garret. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Estill, Wayland, Bolyn, Yellow Mountain, Soft Shell, Handshoe, Mousie, Vest, Larkslane, Elmrock, Betty, Porter Junction, Garret, Glo, Raven, Demo, Buck and Minnie.
