Champi is expected to strengthen further as it moves through the Philippine Sea, possibly becoming a Category 5 super typhoon. Seas are expected to remain hazardous through at least tonight, with significant sea heights as high as 24 feet over western waters, closest to Champi. Dangerous sea conditions may continue into Monday.
