* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Maricopa County in south central Arizona...
* WHEN...Until 1215 AM MST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 921 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.25 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Corgett Wash, Lum Wash, New River, Beardsley Canal, Salt River, Gila River, Cave Creek, Waterman Wash and Agua Fria River. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Glendale, Avondale, Goodyear, Buckeye, Tolleson, Cashion, Litchfield Park, Luke AFB, Perryville, Liberty, Phoenix International Raceway, Camelback Ranch and Glendale Sports Complex. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
