Red Flag Warning

...SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE MAGIC VALLEY...

Ongoing isolated storms this morning will redevelop in the afternoon with scattered coverage and abundant lightning possible. Storms will also be capable of producing outflow gusts up to 50 mph.

The National Weather Service in Boise has issued a Red Flag Warning for lightning, which is in effect from 2 PM this afternoon to 9 PM MDT this evening.

* AFFECTED AREA...In Idaho, Fire Weather Zone 426 Southern Highlands.

* TIMING...From 2 PM this afternoon to 9 PM MDT this evening.

* THUNDERSTORMS...Scattered coverage with abundant lightning.

* OUTFLOW WINDS...Gusty erratic winds up to 50 mph.

* IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
