Big Blue River at Shelbyville.

East Fork White River at Columbus.

Driftwood River near Edinburgh.

.Major river flooding is expected. Heavy rainfall of three to eight or more inches have fallen bringing major flooding to area waterways, including the Big Blue River at Shelbyville. Other areas such as the Driftwood near Edinburgh and the Flatrock River at Columbus should expect moderate river flooding as well. At the current time, further downstream locations on the East Fork White can expect minor lowland flooding, but may approach moderate levels.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...East Fork White River at Columbus.

* WHEN...From this evening to late Sunday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 11.6 feet, Water is very close to CR 325 W just south of Lowell Rd. Mill Race Park flooded as is the area behind West Hill Shopping Center and portions of the Holiday Inn Express parking lot. Tellman Road is flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 5:00 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 4.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this evening to a crest of 11.7 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage late Sunday morning. - Flood stage is 9.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
