For the following areas... Chesapeake Bay from Smith Point to Windmill Point VA...

At 1126 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from near Tangier Island to 8 nm southeast of Lower Bernard Island, moving northeast at 20 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include... Onancock Inlet, Lower Bernard Island, Nandua Pungoteague Reef, Watts Island, Tangier Island, Anglers Reef, and Crisfield.
