Details
The environment will remain conducive for additional showers and thunderstorms through early this evening, mainly across La Paz, northern Yuma and western Maricopa Counties. Training of storms could lead to an additional 1 to 2 inches of rainfall causing rapid run-off and flooding of low-water crossings and low-lying areas.
The Flood Watch will expire for a portion of south central Arizona, including the following areas, Apache Junction/Gold Canyon, Cave Creek/New River, Central Phoenix, Deer Valley, Dripping Springs, East Valley, Fountain Hills/East Mesa, Globe/Miami, Mazatzal Mountains, New River Mesa, North Phoenix/Glendale, Northwest Pinal County, Pinal/Superstition Mountains, Rio Verde/Salt River, San Carlos, Scottsdale/Paradise Valley, South Mountain/Ahwatukee, Southeast Gila County, Southeast Valley/Queen Creek, Superior and Tonto Basin.
The flooding threat has ended. Therefore, the Flood Watch will expire at noon MST today.
