For the Canadian River...including Amarillo 19N...elevated river levels are forecast.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Canadian River at Amarillo 19N.

* WHEN...From this evening to late tonight.

* IMPACTS...At 7.0 feet, Dirt road that runs east alongside the river channel becomes flooded. This road leads to Rosita Creek Flats Recreation Area, where primitive camping occurs.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:45 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 6.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 1.0 feet Sunday evening. - Action stage is 6.0 feet. - Flood stage is 7.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
