.Southwest winds trend weaker in most areas today, except across the northeast where critical conditions are likely again during the afternoon hours. Fire danger trends higher again Tuesday as southwest winds increase again, including across western portions of the area. Although widespread critical fire weather conditions are not forecast either day, the pattern remains conducive for large fire growth going into mid week.
* AFFECTED AREA...Northeast Plains (Zone 104) and Northeast Highlands (Zone 123).
* TIMING...For the Red Flag Warning, from noon today to 7 PM MDT this evening. For the Fire Weather Watch, from Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday evening.
* 20 FOOT WINDS...For the Red Flag Warning, southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph, and for the Fire Weather Watch, southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...For the Red Flag Warning, Relative Humidity between 8 to 14 percent, and for the Fire Weather Watch, Relative Humidity between 12 to 16 percent.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
