Details
* WHAT...Minor coastal flooding expected. Water levels will rise 4 to 6 feet above the normal high tide line along the Bering Strait Coast, including Teller and Brevig Mission.
* WHERE...Bering Strait Coast.
* WHEN...Until 10 PM AKDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only isolated road closures expected.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Water levels 4 to 6 feet above the normal high tide line in Wales may cause water to overflow from Village Creek into low lying areas behind town. For Teller and Brevig Mission, minor flooding in low lying areas. Water levels will peak Friday afternoon and gradually drop through the weekend.
Instructions
If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.
