* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...West Central Fairfield County in central South Carolina... East Central Newberry County in central South Carolina...

* WHEN...Until 715 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 409 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Newberry, VC Summer Nuclear Station, Prosperity, Blair, Monticello, Pomaria and US-176 and SC-34 Crossroads. - This includes Interstate 26 between mile markers 74 and 82. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
