At 404 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain was moving back into the warning area from the southwest. thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen across the area since 1:00 AM. The next round of rainfall is expected to produce up to an additional inch through 6:00 AM. This will result in continuation of any ongoing areas of flooding.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Impacted creeks include Indian Creek, Little Indian Creek, and Leonard Fork.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Lincolnton, Cherryville, Belwood, Boger City, Vale and Crouse.
