Wabash River at Covington.

Wabash River at Riverton.

Wabash River at Terre Haute.

Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site.

Wabash River at Montezuma.

.Rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 4 inches across much of the area is bringing minor lowland flooding to most of the Wabash River basin. The Wabash should crest at Terre Haute on Saturday. Flooding may redevelop on the upper Wabash or be extended at downriver points by moderate to heavy rainfall that is expected Sunday into Monday which is not included in the current forecasts.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Wabash River at Covington.

* WHEN...From this evening to Saturday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Low agricultural lands begin to flood. Backyard flooding of cottages on right bank starts a short distance upstream of gage. Critical stage of Young-Neal Levee is reached.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:45 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 16.1 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:45 PM EDT Thursday was 16.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.7 feet early tomorrow afternoon.
