White River at Anderson.
White River at Muncie.
.Major flooding is occurring on the upper White River at Muncie and Anderson. Record flooding is forecast for Anderson. Additional heavy rainfall is possible tonight, and amounts of 1.5 to over 2 inches were included in the river forecasts for the upper White. Locally higher amounts could bring higher crests and longer flooding. On the middle and lower White,rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches were included in the forecast. Moderate flooding is forecast along middle portions of the White, with minor flooding downriver of Indianapolis. These crests could change depending on where the heaviest rain falls tonight.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...White River at Noblesville.
* WHEN...Until early Monday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Flooding becomes more serious in the Riverwood, Clare, and Trails End areas. Flooding of basements occurs with water possibly extending to the first floor. State Road 19 begins to flood. Many local roads in these areas are impassable and some evacuations are necessary.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 4:45 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 14.7 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 4:45 PM EDT Thursday was 14.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.0 feet early Saturday morning.
