...The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Flood Advisory for the following rivers in New Mexico...
Pecos River Below Acme affecting Chaves County.
.Heavy rains north of Acme will work through arroyos and creeks and lead to rises in the Pecos River at Acme to at least bankfull conditions.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Pecos River below Acme.
* WHEN...From this morning to Saturday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, left bank is approximately 10 ft above gage and subject to overflow At 13.0 feet, inundation of low laying areas including mostly range land.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 6:45 AM MDT Friday the stage was 9.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 12.9 feet this evening. - Action stage is 12.0 feet. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

If you are in the advisory area, remain alert to possible flooding or the possibility of the advisory being upgraded to a warning.
