* WHAT...For the Extreme Heat Warning today, dangerously hot conditions with afternoon and early evening heat index commonly 105 to 115 degrees. For the Heat Advisory into Monday, afternoon and early evening heat index values as high as 100 to 110 degrees.
* WHERE...Portions of north central Kansas and central, east central, and south central Nebraska.
* WHEN...For the Extreme Heat Warning, until 9 PM CDT this evening. For the Heat Advisory, from 9 PM this evening to 10 PM CDT Monday.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Low temperatures on Monday morning will provide only limited relief from the heat, dropping no lower than the mid to upper 70s in most of the area.
