* WHAT...Hot and humid daytime conditions with high temperatures between 88 and 96 common. Warm overnight conditions will bring less relief than usual.

* WHERE...Los Angeles County Inland Coast including Downtown Los Angeles and Ventura County Inland Coast.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM PDT Monday, peaking Thursday through Sunday.

* IMPACTS...There is a high risk for dangerous heat illness, especially for sensitive groups like the very young, the very old, those without air conditioning, and those active outdoors.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...While today (Wednesday) will not be as hot as previously expected, a sharp warm up is still on track for Thursday.
