ESFPPG
An active trough to the north is projected to drift southward and move over the territory by early or midweek. This trough should remain strong and active while over the territory, and may even intensify with embedded low pressure centers. Widespread showers may be heavy and persistent at times with the possibility of thunderstorms. Widespread flash flooding may occur from this rainfall, and landslides will be possible along steep mountainous terrain. Impacts could begin as early as Tuesday and are expected to persist through the weekend. While there is still uncertainty in the exact magnitude and duration of rainfall, plan now for wet conditions that could start as early as Tuesday and persist through at least Sunday.
