Canadian River at Amarillo 19N affecting Potter County.
For the Canadian River...Amarillo 19N...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Canadian River at Amarillo 19N.
* WHEN...Until late Friday night.
* IMPACTS...At 7.0 feet, Dirt road that runs east alongside the river channel becomes flooded. This road leads to Rosita Creek Flats Recreation Area, where primitive camping occurs.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:15 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 4.7 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 8.0 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 7.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 8.2 feet on 06/03/2023. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
