The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for... Yavapai County in west central Arizona...

* Until 1000 PM MST.

* At 649 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Congress, Escapees North Ranch, Wickenburg Ranch, Lake Pleasant, Tres Alamos Wilderness, Bullard Peak, Cottonwood Day Use Area, Castle Creek Boat Ramp, Goose Bay, Coles Bay, Humbug Bay, Casa Rosa and Flores.

This includes the following highways... Highway 93 between mile markers 172 and 196. State Route 71 between mile markers 90 and 109. State Route 89 between mile markers 258 and 269.

This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers... Little Buckhorn Creek, Bitter Creek, Agua Fria River, Antelope Creek, Black Canyon Wash, Cottonwood Creek, Miller Wash, Hassayampa River, Date Creek, French Creek, Humbug Creek, Santa Maria River, Weaver Creek, Sols Wash, Martinez Creek, Hamlin Wash, Buckhorn Creek, Martinez Wash, Castle Creek and Bullard Wash.
