...MINOR COASTAL FLOODING DURING HIGH TIDE THROUGH MID WEEK...
.Peak monthly high tides combined with water levels that are running higher than predicted will lead to minor flooding in low- lying coastal areas. Coastal flooding is possible through at least Tuesday around the daily peak tide, which will be during the afternoon hours. By Wednesday, tides are forecast to decrease, though coastal flooding may still be possible for select locations where water levels are running highest.
* WHAT...Isolated minor coastal flooding expected.
* WHERE...Vulnerable low-lying coastal roadways, docks, boat ramps and other coastal infrastructure.
* WHEN...The afternoon hours today through Tuesday, at and around daily peak tides.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of beaches that are normally dry, minor coastal erosion, and saltwater inundation of low-lying roads, docks, boat ramps and other coastal infrastructure.
