Severe Thunderstorm Warning

At 1113 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 12 miles south of Herndon, or 14 miles southwest of Oberlin, moving south at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Two inch hail and 70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters reported golf ball size hail 11 miles south of Herndon at 1100 PM CDT.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include... Colby, Oberlin, Hoxie, Levant, Rexford, Selden, and Gem.

This includes Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 46 and 63.
