Special Weather Statement

At 1057 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 10 miles southwest of Lewellen to Barton to 6 miles south of Julesburg. Movement was east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include... Ogallala, Grant, Big Springs, Paxton, Brule, Madrid, Lewellen, Keystone, Kingsley Dam, Barton, Lemoyne, Roscoe, Megeath, Eagle Gulch Campground, and Clear Creek State Wildlife Management Area.

This includes the following highways... Highway 61 between mile markers 61 and 110. Highway 92 between mile markers 115 and 138. Interstate 80 in Nebraska between mile markers 89 and 146.
