At 1028 PM MST, trained weather spotters reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.7 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Vail and Corona De Tucson.

This includes the following highways... Interstate 10 between mile markers 278 and 288. Route 83 between mile markers 41 and 58.

This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations... Andrada Rd east of Wentworth Rd and Calle Rinconada Rd from Andrada Rd to Sahuarita Rd.

This includes the following streams and drainages... Fortynine Wash, Cienega Creek, Gardner Canyon, Pantano Wash and Box Canyon Wash.
