The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... The Havasu Creek basin in... Coconino County in north central Arizona...

* Until 1115 PM MST Thursday.

* At 514 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the Havasu Creek basin. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding in and around the Havasu Creek basin.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around the Havasu Creek basin.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Little Navajo Falls, Mooney Falls, Beaver Falls, Havasupai Reservation, Supai and Hualapai Hilltop.

This includes the Colorado River between river miles 156 and 158.

This includes the following swimming holes... All swimming holes on Havasu Creek near Supai.

This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers... Little Coyote Canyon, Colorado River, Sinyella Canyon, Havasu Creek, Heather Wash, Black Tank Wash and Pasture Wash.
