The National Weather Service in Lincoln has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for... McLean County in central Illinois... Northern Champaign County in east central Illinois...

* Until 845 AM CDT.

* At 549 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Bloomington, Normal, Rantoul, Le Roy, Heyworth, Fisher, Hudson, Danvers, Thomasboro, Colfax, Downs, Gifford, McLean, Ogden, Saybrook, Stanford, Carlock, Towanda, Ludlow and Bellflower.

This includes the following highways... Interstate 39 between mile markers 0 and 4. Interstate 74 between mile markers 119 and 155...and between mile markers 195 and 197. Interstate 55 between mile markers 143 and 174. Interstate 57 between mile markers 243 and 257.
