The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Caldwell Parish in north central Louisiana... Southern Jackson Parish in north central Louisiana... Northern La Salle Parish in north central Louisiana... South Central Ouachita Parish in north central Louisiana... Winn Parish in north central Louisiana... Southeastern Bienville Parish in northwestern Louisiana... Northeastern Natchitoches Parish in northwestern Louisiana...

* Until 1030 AM CDT.

* At 714 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen across Northern Winn and Caldwell Parishes. The expected rainfall rate is 2 to 3 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area through 1030 am. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
