At 337 PM MDT, the public reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Public reported.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Farmington, Aztec, Kirtland, Flora Vista and Upper Fruitland.
This includes Highway 64 between Mile Markers 42 and 52.
Flash flooding was reported along Butler Arroyo, impacting 30th and Butler Avenue.
