At 614 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Newport, moving southeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include... Newport, Hampden, Hermon, Orrington, Holden, Levant, Carmel, Newburgh, Plymouth, Etna, Stetson, Dixmont, and Exeter.
This includes the following highways... Interstate 95 between mile markers 159 and 181. State Highway 9 between Dixmont and Hampden.
