* Flash Flood Warning for... Geary County in east central Kansas... Northwestern Morris County in east central Kansas...
* Until 700 PM CDT.
* At 330 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated storms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Junction City, Grandview Plaza, White City, Dwight, Parkerville, Latimer and Council Grove Lake.
This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 291 and 302...and between mile markers 310 and 315.
