Details

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following counties, Brazoria, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Matagorda and Wharton.
* WHEN...Until 515 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 216 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This is causing urban and small stream flooding. Spotters report street flooding already occuring along FM 518 in Pearland. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Pearland, southwestern League City, Friendswood, Alvin, Manvel, West Columbia, Fresno, Greater Hobby Area, southwestern South Belt / Ellington, Arcola, Brookside Village, Iowa Colony, Holiday Lakes, Hillcrest, Bonney, Brazos Bend State Park, southeastern Sienna, Van Vleck, Rosharon and Damon. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
