The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Yavapai County in west central Arizona...

* Until 830 PM MST.

* At 528 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area including Hillside and Yava. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Hillside, Yava and Date.

This includes State Route 96 between mile markers 13 and 21.

This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers... Santa Maria River, Tank Wash, Alkali Wash, Eastwood Creek, South Fork Santa Maria River, Bland Creek, Waterman Creek, Kirkland Creek, Black Canyon Wash, North Fork Date Creek, Quail Spring Wash, Cottonwood Creek and Sycamore Creek.
