Major to record flooding is occurring along the White River near Indianapolis and in the northeastern portion of the Indianapolis metropolitan area. Residents of these areas in flood zones are advised to follow the recommendations of local emergency officials, as evacuations have occurred in some areas.

Additional rain is possible at times through the weekend. Please stay advised of the latest forecasts and conditions through the weekend into next week, especially those who live near waterways or other flood prone areas.
