Heat Advisory

* WHAT...Hot temperatures as high as 72 to 80 degrees expected, coolest along the coast.

* WHERE...Anchorage Bowl, including Eagle River, Chugiak, Birchwood, Girdwood, and East Turnagain Arm.

* WHEN...Until 9 PM AKDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Individuals not accustomed to these unusually hot temperatures for this region may experience heat related illnesses.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Temperatures across the Anchorage Bowl and East Turnagain Arm areas will again climb well into the 70s for daytime highs Friday and Saturday. The coolest temperatures will be along the coast where afternoon sea breezes will develop. Overnight lows will drop into the upper 40s to lower 50s, allowing for a brief respite from the very warm temperatures.
