...HIGH SURF ADVISORY FOR SOUTH AND EAST FACING SHORES THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING...
.Swells from Hurricane Lowell are filling in and will remain elevated above High Surf Advisory (HSA) conditions through Saturday morning. A large, medium-period east swell from Hurricane Karina is filling in and will continue though the weekend, producing high end advisory level surf or warning level surf along east facing shores. The HSA has been extended in time and expanded to include east facing shores. Corrected overview headline.
* WHAT...Large breaking waves building up to 7 to 10 feet along east facing shores, and 8 to 12 feet along south facing shores building up to 10 to 14 feet by Saturday.
* WHERE...South and east facing shores of Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Maui, and Big Island.
* WHEN...Until 6 AM HST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Moderate. Strong breaking waves and strong currents will make swimming dangerous.
