Flood Warning

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana... Illinois...

Wabash River at Riverton, Terre Haute, Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site, and Montezuma.

.Multiple rounds of rainfall over the past week, totaling at least 2 to 4 inches, has lead to minor lowland flooding along the middle to lower Wabash River. The Wabash will continue to crest at Terre Haute this weekend, with the crest reaching Riverton on Tuesday. Flooding will end at Montezuma Monday and at Riverton by the middle of the week.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Wabash River at Riverton.

* WHEN...Until late Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Some agricultural lands underwater. A few rural roads in Crawford County, Illinois close as water backs up Minnow Slough. High water affects campground at Leaverton Park in Palestine. A few private roads near the Gill Township levee in Sullivan County may flood. Water level is at the top of most makeshift levees.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:00 AM EDT Sunday /10:00 AM CDT Sunday/ the stage was 16.4 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 11:00 AM EDT Sunday /10:00 AM CDT Sunday/ was 16.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.5 feet this evening.
