Flood Warning

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana... Illinois...

Wabash River at Riverton, Terre Haute, Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site, and Montezuma.

.Multiple rounds of rainfall over the past week, totaling at least 2 to 4 inches, has lead to minor lowland flooding along the middle to lower Wabash River. The Wabash will continue to crest at Terre Haute this weekend, with the crest reaching Riverton on Tuesday. Flooding will end at Montezuma Monday and at Riverton by the middle of the week.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Wabash River at Montezuma.

* WHEN...Until tomorrow evening.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Montezuma agricultural levee is overtopped. Fourteen hundred acres of low bottomlands flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:45 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 16.4 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:45 AM EDT Sunday was 17.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage tomorrow morning and continue falling and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
