Marine Weather Statement

The areas affected include... Coastal waters from Chincoteague to Parramore Island VA out 20 NM... Coastal waters from Fenwick Island DE to Chincoteague VA out 20 NM...

At 1141 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These storms are also producing frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes. The thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 7 nm west of Ocean City Inlet to 12 nm north of Chincoteague to 6 nm northwest of Chincoteague Bay, moving southeast at 10 knots.

Locations impacted include... Ocean City Pier, African Queen Wreck, Ocean City Inlet, Gulf Rambler Wreck, Chincoteague Bay, and Chincoteague.
