For the Gale Warning, north winds 25 to 30 kt with gusts up to 40 kt and waves 8 to 13 ft expected. For the second Small Craft Advisory, north winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt and waves 6 to 11 ft expected.
* WHERE...Grand Marais to Whitefish Point MI.
* WHEN...For the first Small Craft Advisory, until 11 AM EDT this morning. For the Gale Warning, until 8 PM EDT this evening. For the second Small Craft Advisory, from 8 PM this evening to 7 AM EDT Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.
