* WHAT...West winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected Friday morning. After a brief lull, another stronger push of 40 to 50 mph westerly winds with gusts to 60 mph late Friday evening into Saturday morning.
* WHERE...Unalaska and Nikolski.
* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 4 PM AKDT Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and a few power outages may result.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A strong low pressure system in the southern Bering will bring strong westerly winds beginning this evening and continuing through Friday evening. Wind gusts up to 55 mph are likely through westerly favored gaps near Unalaska. A lull in the winds is expected through Friday midday with a reinvigoration of the winds out of the west by Friday evening. Gusts to 60 mph are expected overnight into Saturday morning, with winds coming down by Saturday afternoon.
