At 937 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Zebulon to 6 miles northeast of Bailey to 7 miles east of Fremont. Movement was south at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include... Raleigh, Goldsboro, Smithfield, Clinton, Wilson, Wake Forest, Garner, Clayton, Dunn, and Mount Olive.

This includes the following highways... Interstate 95 between Mile Markers 132 and 65. Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 300 and 359. Interstate 440 between Mile Markers 11 and 16. Interstate 540 between Mile Markers 14 and 24. NC Highway 264 between Mile Markers 20 and 56.
