At 603 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 11 miles south of Mullen to 9 miles northeast of Swan Lake to 10 miles southeast of Hyannis, moving south at 35 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include... Mullen, Whitman, Carr Lake, Duluth, Cogill Lake, East Cody Lake, Green Lake, Highway 97 crossing the Dismal River, Pratt Lake, Spring Valley Lake, Hecla, Kelso, Weir, and Shimmons Lake.
This includes the following highways... Highway 2 between mile markers 149 and 194. Highway 97 between mile markers 45 and 70.
