A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas... Coastal waters from Englewood to Tarpon Springs FL out 20 NM... Coastal waters from Tarpon Springs to Suwannee River FL out 20 NM... Tampa Bay waters...

At 228 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 14 nm northeast of Gandy Bridge to 7 nm southeast of Hillsborough Bay to near Siesta Key, moving west at 15 knots.
