Flood Advisory

* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Cherokee County in northeastern Texas...

* WHEN...Until 900 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 459 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated areas of moderate to heavy rain. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen since Wednesday, with 1 to 3 inches of this having fallen since midnight. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches, with isolated higher amounts up to 3 inches, are expected over the area through 9 AM. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Jacksonville, Rusk, Alto, Wells, Maydelle, Ponta, Morrill, Mixon, Mount Selman, Reese, Forest, New Summerfield, Gallatin, Cuney, Linwood and Teaselville. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
